Ayurveda Introduction

Ayurveda is a holistic system from India. Ayurveda is a Sanskrit term which means "Science of life" and its fundamentals can be found in Vedas which are the most ancient sacred writings in human history 5000 years ago by Rishi. It was the first science to heal. Ayurveda is still today the principal science used by medicine in India.

The purpose of Ayurveda is to help people have a healthier life with balance diet, body massages, therapy and natural medicine based on plants and herbal oils. Ayurveda insists as the fact the positive thinking is important. It is based on the principle of the equilibrium of the five elements which can be found in each human body: Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Ether.

From this tradition, we have 3 biological humors called tridosha :

- Vatta (wind)
- Pitta (fire)
- Kapha (earth and water)

To maintain this system, your body needs the vital energy called Prana.
